Fencing practice
Practice starts Monday, January 7. Can’t wait to be back!
Beginners class
Learn to fence with our introductory class starting January 9.
The class runs Wednesdays, 7:30 – 8:45 for 8 weeks
The cost is $60, equipment included.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Email cap.city.fencing@gmail.com to reserve your spot (or with any questions).
Notes: Once classes are finished, the course fee includes joining Monday and Wednesday club practice for March.

Canada Cup
This year’s Canada Cup is in Richmond January 25-27, 2019, making it an opportunity to participate in this high-level tournament without paying for a flight!
Register by January 11 because fees double January 12- 18.
Escrime Sundae tournament (in Victoria!)
Registration is open for our March 23 Escrime Sundae tournament.
Join us for Capital City Fencers’ Club’s famous Invitational Inspirational Non-Denominational Fencing Tournament of Fun with Entrance for a Song Plus a Nominal Fee, Kazoos Provided at the Door. All entrants can enjoy an ice cream sundae after elimination so … Come for the Saturday, Stay for the Escrime Sundae!
There are sanctioned Junior (U20) and Senior events for both men and women in all weapons, plus an unsanctioned beginners foil event for youth fencers with less than 12 months of experience.
Events may be mixed if the there are less than six (6) men or women registered.
Fence-a-thon tournament (In Victoria!)
Our annual overnight fencing fundraising extravaganza is booked for May 25-26. This tournament and fence-a-thon runs from 7 pm to 7 am and raises funds for the BC Cancer
We start at 7 pm with a tournament featuring sanctioned events in all weapons for juniors and seniors, PLUS a beginners unsanctioned foil event.
We finish the tournament with our delectable midnight feast, and then fence until dawn.
Prizes for top fencers and top fundraisers.
Registration opens January 31.
Nan-Sang Ho Legacy Open
UVIC is planning on hosting the Nan-Sang Ho Legacy Open on March 2 this year, so keep your eyes peeled for announcements about that local tournament!
