Escrime Sundae in ONE WEEK

Hello fencers

Escrime Sundae is on SATURDAY MARCH 23 at Royal Oak Middle School.

TL;DR version of this message is REGISTER NOW! 🙂

There are sanctioned events in every weapon AND an unsanctioned foil event which is now open to all ages.

If you are coming, please register ASAP as the volunteers need to know numbers in order to have enough ice cream and plan the event effectively.

To register you can use the registration at this address:

https://askfred.net/Events/moreInfo.php?tournament_id=41481

To use the registration you need only know your name, contact and personal info, the event you will fence and your fencing club.

To select us as your club, search for Capital City Fencers’ Club (CAN) in the drop down list

Events are showing as separate genders for sanctioned events right now, but in fact they will be mixed at the event.

If you aren’t sure which event is for you, or what sanctioning means, please contact me and I will assist.

If registration in junior events remains low, we may invite those currently in junior events to join the senior events instead (they start earlier). If you want the event to happen, please register.

Not sure if you qualify for junior? Here is how to know as per Fencing Canada:

The following age groups are defined as of December 31st of the current license year (August 1st to July 31st of the following year).

U13 any athlete Under 13 years old
U15 any athlete Under 15 years old
U17/Cadet any athlete who is a minimum of 13 years old and under 17 years
U20/Junior any athlete who is a minimum of 13 years old and under 20 years old
U23 any athlete who is a minimum of 13 years old and under 23 years old
Senior any athlete who is a minimum of 13 years old
Veteran any athlete 40 years or older

Age groups are not exclusive of each other. An athlete may be a member of one or several age groups depending on the criteria.
