2026 Fencing Starts Monday January 5
We’re Back fencing on Monday Jan 5
Regular schedule returns:
Monday chills 8:30 – 10 pm
(no formal warm up, just fencing and more fencing!)
Wednesday thrills 7:30 – 10 pm
30 minute warm up to start, then fencing and more fencing
Saturday skills and drills 4:30 – 6pm
Focus on skill development through group coaching.
And while we are talking Saturdays, I want to encourage everyone to come out for skills and drills. If you were wondering whether this is for you, the answer is YES!
Skills and drills is a great option if you…
* are preparing for spring tournaments,
* need to defeat your club nemesis,
* need to meet your club nemesis,
* want to improve your endurance during tournaments or club bouts,
* feel you have plateaued and want to improve your technique,
* are new to the club and want to get to know everyone better, or
* all of the above
You don’t have to come every Saturday to participate… but if you do come every Saturday your fencing will improve!
PLEASE NOTE
Escrime Sundae is on SATURDAY MAY 23 (and there will be no Skills and Drills that day) More on that below.
NO FENCING on February 16, April 6, May 18, May 27, June 22 (due to stat holiday or school use) or other #NotFencing activity

Beginner class starts January 14 and the $60 fee includes all the introductory lessons working up to full club membership for March.

We strongly encourage club members to register early for tournaments. With enough notice we can have a club coach attend to support you at the competition (and don’t forget to come out Saturdays as part of your tournament preparation–this is open to everyone who has completed the beginner classes so don’t be shy!)

I love Hamlet … it’s a great play, but even better, it’s the best fencing scene on stage!
National Theatre Live’s latest Hamlet is coming to the screen at Silver City Tillicum January 22. I’ve got tickets and I invite you all to join me!
