Thanksgiving Closure
There will be no fencing on Monday, October 11, due to Thanksgiving!
Gear order – let me know this weekend if you want in!
I need to order a few things (see picture below) where my son arrived with a weapon and left with a banana and we need a few things for the club as well.
So if you were thinking of ordering something let me know this weekend– I plan to put in an order on Sunday.
We order from crossedswords.ca and joining the group order can result in a small discount, and eliminate your shipping costs. 🙂
Goofball nights favour epee.. except for a broken blade
Goofball nights saw Felix win Top Banana and Lawrence take home Jeffrey the Pumpkin.
The epeeists have taken the goofball prizes thus far…time for the sabrists and foilists to show their mettle.
Seen on the piste
It has been great to have so many of you back now that we have the vaccine… Rob, Noelle, Taylor, Felix, Peter, Lawrence, James, Luther, Cheryl, Caleb, Trevor, Benson, and Isaac have helped us kick off the new season (and me!) and we can’t wait to see the rest of you!

We also welcome new member Rob (another one! Rob 2.0 I suppose), and welcome back Walter(the one and only) after a couple years away! Thanks as always to Trevor and Benson for taking the lead with the beginner class. Thanks as well to Isaac for leading our nightly warm ups, even if some of us secretly resent it.
If we haven’t seen you yet this year, we miss you! Come out and fence! bring the mayhem!
Welcome Beginners!
Our beginner class has begun, and they have chosen their warrior names! Welcome on board Cricket, Echo, Ocelot, Sea Snake, Wonder Woman, Vike!, Extra Treeestrial, and Badger! We promise to learn your real names too!
November 27 (Saturday) is booked for our Beginners Invitational event — we will be looking for volunteers to come referee and set up the tournament. This is a great chance to learn how to run a tournament and hone your refereeing skills!
