Fencing news: Calling all epeeists! plus… gear order

Hey fencers!

We are back to fencing and here is the latest:

1/ Calling all Epeeists

We have a new member who is attending high school in Victoria on exchange from Germany.. and she’s an epeeist!! Apparently Epee is popular around the world! Who knew??? ;=)

It would be great to have a few more epeeists out to join those who attend regularly and make her welcome. So if you have been considering a return, it is a great time to do so! I am looking at you German speaking epeeists (you know who you are!!!)

2/ Gear order

I will be ordering some equipment for the club, so if you have some items you wish to purchase pleas let me know.

We order through https://www.crossedswords.ca/ and any discounts we receive for club orders are shared with our members on the order. The club pays the shipping, so in the end you save a few dollars by joining our order.

How it works: Pick your items from the crossed swords site and send me the list. I will calculate the total and send you the amount with any discounts applied. you send me an etransfer of the funds, and we place the order. I will alert members when the package arrives and bring it to the club for pick up.

We also had a request to share this offer to sell a youth boys fencing set. This is a set where a fencer has grown out of his gear. They are seeking $800. Contact info in last club newsletter if interested.
