Hello September!

It’s time for a return to fencing, and here is all your fencing news for the month:

Renew your membership

It is time to renew your membership. All members, even returning members, please fill out a membership form found here: https://capcityfencers.wordpress.com/club-documents/ and send it back to this email address BEFORE SEPTEMBER 12.

Once it is returned we will invoice you for membership fees (payable by email interac, credit card, or at the club by cheque). Membership fees remain $40 per month or $10/ per drop in.

Start date for club practice

We will be back in the gym on MONDAY SEPTEMBER 12 for regular practice.

Practice will continue as per last year:
Mondays 8 – 10 pm

Wednesdays 7:30 – 10 pm
We are also working on some exciting options for weekend workshops starting in October!

Beginners class

Tell all your friends! Our next beginner class will start WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 28. It will run Wednesday nights and costs $60 and includes all equipment. Know someone who would like to register? Ask them to email us to register and get more information. (There are currently six more spots available).

Club COVID protocol — have your say

Provincial COVID protocols have changed. The club will continue to follow public health mandates and recommendations at a minimum. Before dropping our vaccine requirement, the board wanted to know what members think. Over the past two years we have heard from many members with different needs and family situations, and we want the club to be a safe and welcoming place for everyone to participate.
