Hello fencers!
It is almost the end of 2022… and that means two things:
- Annual General Meeting
- GIFT STEALING NIGHT – HOORAY
- Wait there are three things … this year we also have MEMBER SURVEY! Even more hooray!
AGM – December 7
Our annual general meeting will be at Fencing practice on Wednesday December 7.
We will hold the agme at start of practice 7:30 and aim to be on the piste fencing by 8 pm.
if you have fenced with us in 2022, you are a voting member of the club, including youth members.
What happens at the AGM? We:
– elect our board of directors
– review our financial statements
– approve our fee schedule for the coming year.

I will be circulating a full agenda, along with financials after our board meeting (next Tuesday).
GIFT STEALING NIGHT December 14
Our last night of fencing is our gift stealing night. That would be December 14.
How it works:
Everyone brings a mysterious wrapped gift (valued at less than $10. It can be found, hand made, purchased .. it can be awesome or terrible. Small or big.)
Every bout you fence you place your gift next to the score machine. Whoever wins the bout chooses which gift they carry with them. The gifts change hands throughout the night.
At the official end time (9:40) last bout is called, final gift stealing occurs, and we all unwrap our gifts.
Now that I have bribed you with potentially wonderful gifts… take our member survey!
