All the fencing news fit for the piste

Look who won Bronze at the OSM season finale team foil event! That’s right! CCFC members (L-R) Eden, Marian and Grace raised the literally and symbolically squeaky chicken of triumph after their hard fought victory!
OLYMPIC FENCING! How to watch?
CBC has fencing coverage for all events (Hoorah! A first!) on their live stream.
Go here: https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/summer/streaming-schedule to find WHEN to watch your event.
Select “Fencing” from the sport drop down menu and find your event. The link appears on this schedule once the stream begins.
There are two events every day and CBC schedule is rudimentary, giving the block of time for preliminaries and medal events only.
You can figure out the times more precisely on the fie site here: https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/schedule/fencing Make sure the toggle top left of this site is set to “My time” and not “Paris time” when making plans!
I’m In for September!
We have the gym booked and ready… Fencing is back on September 9!
NEW Practice times:
Monday 8:30 – 10 pm (no instruction — fencing only)
Wednesday 7:30 – 10 pm (warm up plus practice)
Saturday (Skills and Drills!) 4:30 – 6 pm
Also new this year: you can opt to buy/renew your Canadian Fencing Federation (CFF) membership with your club membership. we will take care of the registration hassle for you.
CFF membership permits you to compete in sanctioned events, and insures you at CFF or BC Fencing Association events outside CCFC practice and in house tournaments.
Purchasing with CCFC allows you to bundle the membership with your monthly installments, and include it with KidSport or other fencing funding for youth.
