It’s time to renew your CCFC membership for Fall 2025. We can’t wait to see you all!

Price to participate remains the same: $400/year which can be paid monthly or in a single payment.

(PLEASE NOTE: yes, we need *everyone* to register for the new season each September as it includes emergency info and club policy agreement. Please register even if I know you, you are an occasional drop in fencer, coach, etc etc. )

A piste in our time!

As regulars know the gym is at capacity most nights. And we love it!

We would love it even more if we could put out one more strip!

The club is aiming to buy a new set of reels, floor cables and score boxes, which costs about $1,500. It would be awesome if we could order it in August and have it there for September, and we have almost enough to do it.

If you can help us reach this goal by registering and paying your September fees early, we would appreciate it so much!!

BC Fencing Association has some August camps and upcoming events listed on their website https://www.bcfencingassociation.com/ and the fie calendar indicates we can expect an Epee World Cup December 4-6 2025 in Vancouver.

CFF has announced that Canada Cup #2 will be held in Richmond on November 29 – Dec 1

Askfred has several BC tournaments listed for Fall 2025 — including so me on August and the TFA series … plus the CCFC October tournament of course!

Summer regrets

Sartre may reject the concept of regret, but nonetheless I am not so existential in my nature that I feel no regret for passing over this snacking wonder while on vacation in Ontario.

Additionally, I feel they missed the mark on the branding. So, in a sense, I also feel regret by proxy for the marketing team responsible for this skippy pop rocks pocky product branding effort.

Since pocky is the most sword-like of snacks I feel quite certain our club members could come up with at least 10 better names for this product.
