Escrime Sundae on Saturday April 9
After a two year COVID-hiatus, CCFC’s annual fencing tournament, Escrime Sundae, is back!
Come fence on a Saturday and stay for an [ice cream] Sundae!
Registration $20 first event, $10 second, all additional at no cost. (Flepeebre team event is free). Fees are payable at the event (cash) or by e-transfer to cap.ciy.fencing no later than April 8 10pm. Fencers must arrive and sign in 30 minutes before their event time.

Events Scheduled:
Senior Mixed Epee – 11 am start
Senior Mixed Foil – 11 am start
Senior Mixed Saber – 1 pm start
Cadet (U16) Mixed Foil – 1 pm start
and
Mixed Flepeebre Team fun event 2 or 3ish (this will be held after other events, as a social fun event): a flepeebre team = 1 foil, 1 epee and 1 sabre (You can make a team at the event, or pre-register your team on the team registration page)
Pre-registration (ASAP) is greatly appreciated as it helps us plan the event, have enough ice cream, etc. Events that do not have six registrants may be cancelled.
**Proof of COVID vaccination required to participate or attend to watch.**
Age categories: Senior is open to any age. Cadet is open to any fencerunder 16 years.

CCFC members and supporters: We need volunteers to help! Please let us know if you can come early to set up, stay for clean up, staff check in, serve ice cream, etc.
Girls Fencing Clinic March 19 and 20. Thanks for helping spread the word
CCFC is offering an all-girls fencing clinic to encourage girls to participate in our awesome sport! This event is for girls 10 years and up who are beginning fencers (under 12 months) or who have never fenced.
The clinic will be held Saturday March 19 and Sunday March 20 from 4-7pm at our regular location. Participants will also be invited to join Monday 8-10 pm and Wednesday 7:30-10 pm practices with the club that week at no cost.
Our intrepid coach, Anna Smith, will be leading the clinic, ably supported by Xi and Noelle.
Girls in current or recent beginners classes who wish to attend are welcome to register.
This event is sponsored by Kidsport, and is free! Space is limited, however, so registration is required.

OSM Fencing Tournament coming up … March 19
OSM Fencing 2021-2022 Circuit Tournament #3 is the third of the series featuring four events: Y10 Mixed Foil, Cadet Mixed Foil, Senior Mixed Epee, and Senior Mixed Foil! Fencers of all levels and backgrounds across the island and Lower Mainland will be in attendance. Limited uniform items available for loan (from OSM) at the event.
